What a weekend it has been! Last Sunday, I went with my wife and kids to a family get together at far, far Paranaque! Had fun chit-chatting with old (and new) “in-laws”. Lots of new faces in the crowd… but everything was cool. I had a terrible toothache the day before the party and my main concern was if I was going to be able to actually eat during the festivities… Hey, the last thing you’d want to happen is starve in a party where there’s lots and lots of food to munch on, right?! Thank God my antibiotics and pain-killers kicked in just in time for me to actually take my lunch.
My wife had a swell time… so did my kids! Especially my baby, Ella! She met her cousin from the States… Ashley, who’s about a year younger than she is. She’s just as “kikay” as my little girl is! They were warming up to each other other at first… but soon after, they were running around the house with so much makeup on their faces enough for every woman in the party to go around with!
On our way home, the air conditioning of our car f*cked up so we had to open our windows… really sucks! Oh well… I guess that’s better than the whole engine conking out.
Moving on… the next day, my wife, my baby girl and I, left for Greenbelt to meet up with Ralph, who was with his Don Bosco classmates and teachers on a fieldtrip. Their last stop on the trip was watching the Rep’s prodution of “ALLADIN” at the “On Stage” Theater. We had tickets as well so off we went and enjoyed the musical. It was fun and enjoyable! It was a loooong time since I got to watch a musical play again. The production didn’t disappoint. The ushers were VERY strict in enforcing the “No Photos” regulation during the play. They were everywhere and even the slightest hint that you might be taking a picture using your camera phone will prompt them to approach you in a manner that might make you feel embarassed. These guys should be the ones stationed beside each entrance of the mall instead of the security guards we normally see which actually look more like lame visual deterrents, pretending to sift through your bags when you enter the mall, but not really going through ‘em.
Okay… where was I? Oh yes, the play! Regardless of how vigilant these “eagle-eyed” ushers were… I was able to sneak a few shots during moments when I felt it was safe… according to gut feel. So, tada! Here are some of the shots I took… which weren’t that clear or focused due to the hurry I was in to snap them:
It was the best I could do given the circumstances… Haha! Looks like I’m not much of a “rules and regulations” fan. Eeeep! I just gave myself away!
