And the updates just keep on coming…
Other than me, some of the composers involved as well in Sarah Geronimo’s upcoming album entitled, “In Flight”, are (not everyone; just the ones I know for now):
Medwin Marfil (of True Faith)
Louie Ocampo,
and Trina Belamide.
There are others, but I didn’t quite catch their names yet… these were the ones mentioned to me just recently.
I have two compositions in the album entitled, “Miss” and “Kahit Na”. Both songs were recorded by Sarah earlier today at Amerasian Studios.
If everything goes smoothly and as planned, the album will be out a little bit before Sarah’s birthday next month (July)… and hopefully will be a simultaneous release with her upcoming concert, “In Motion”.
More updates soon…!

wohow, this is rapid fire update, chuckster! thanks for keeping us posted! =)
so how did the recording go? will it spoil the fun if you’d give us some background info on those songs? like what they’re about, what inspired you to write them, when they were written… bits of trivia.
thanks again and we look forward to the new album. God bless! =)

SUPERFANNISARAH:
Hi There!
You’re welcome! Thank you also for dropping by my site… I also appreciate all your visits! Check back again soon for additional updates, ok?
SGP:
Hi, SGP! Yeah… updates as they happen!
As always, Sarah does a wonderful job on recording vocals… The two songs were musically arranged by Nino Regalado.
Okay, let’s talk about the songs… hmmm…
“MISS” talks about… well… obviously, missing a special someone… and self-discovery on love… but it doesn’t directly tackle the word “love” itself… but when you read the lyrics, you know the person is talking about love.
As part of the lyrics go…
Take note, that part of the lyrics is like she’s talking to the person but actually isn’t… it’s just inside her mind in a sense… (gets mo ba?) hehe…
”KAHIT NA” is about undying loving to a person who is not part of your life anymore. Everyone in one time or another has felt this already… the feeling of holding on no matter what…
Although the song conveys a tragic message… it is written in such a way that it doesn’t sound heavy… even the melody is catchy and very easy to absorb…
The first part of the lyrics go like this:
I don’t want to elaborate too much than I already have… I don’t want to spoil the excitement of the fans… hehehe!
I hope you guys enjoy my compositions as much as I have enjoyed creating them and conveying them to all of you through Sarah’s wonderful renditions…
Hello Shai!
Thank you for dropping by! Yes, 2 tagalog songs… hope you support them. Hope to see you here again soon.
wow chuckie! really appreciate so much of this! hehe, im kinda interested with Miss…sounds exciting…pwede siguro itong theme song pag nag-iisa ako…hehe
Ang galing naman, looks like the management are really expediting this project, and kung simultaneous sa concert or bday nya, this will really be a real pleasure to look forward to…whooo!
thank u thanks!
Cryst:
Haha… Yeah… I enjoy “Miss” as well… just so you know… it’s an upbeat song… when I first submitted it, it was arranged in such a way na parang alternative band ang tumugtog.
really? an alternative sound ung Miss? hehe, the more reason to look forward too
cool! thanks for the teaser info chuckster!
your songs seem to be most appropriate (and timely) since a lot of folks are putting sarah in the spotlight with regards to her lovelife. hehe! i feel like you are going to give listeners a peek into her (still-far-from-existence-as-of-this-writing) lovelife. hehe!
btw, i enjoyed marathon-reading your blog entries, besides the sarah-updates. keep writing!
Cryst:
Yup… it’s quite a new approach considering all the material Sarah has been known to sing. So… yeah, I’m really excited to hear the final mix.
SGP:
You’re welcome! That’s exactly the very reason why I made the compositions very light and easy to listen to… to make it sound believable when Sarah is singing the songs. Although she’s very versatile and can sing practically anything, I just think it’s really too soon to be singing songs with deep and complex messages.
Take for example… a 7 year old kid who is singing “Ako ang Nagwagi” or “I Who Have Nothing”… listening to it being rendered by the kid, does it look believable? Yes, those songs are used for singing competitions because it can showcase the vocal range of a person…
…but Sarah’s album isn’t a singing competition.
“Birit” does not equate to “great singing” nor a “great singer” as misconstrued by most Pinoys.
A great singer has only to be able to successfully convey the message and emotion of the song regardless of how complex or subtle the composition is.
… and ultimately, the song has to fit the singer’s age and image.

On a different note…
Thank you for marathon-reading my entries! Glad to know you enjoyed my rants, raves… and occasional nonsense! Bwehehehe!
I’d love to hear the “gigil” when sarah sings, but the “birit” is quite nakakasawa na nga din…so now pala eh, alternative sound mixed with youthful lyrics
nice!
Cryst:
Yeah… you could say it’s something like that… The songs (well, as far as I know, at least mine) will fit her age… and since the songs aren’t too complicated, it’ll be easy for fans to sing along to it…
hehe! that’s what blogs are (usually) for, to help us keep our sanity, thus the occasional nonsense entries. at least you write it in style. *sweet!*
offtopic: i wonder if you’ve seen the tv series Heroes. just thought that’s another great material for blog stuff.
SGP:
Yeah… I love “Heroes”! I finished the entire 1st Season already! Can’t wait for Season 2 to start! The moment I played episode 1, I got hooked immediately!
Look…! I’ve got “Heroes Jitters”!!! I need my “Heroes Fix”!
Oh, it’s gonna be a while… you’ll have to be contented with reruns for now. hehe! I think season2 starts 4th quarter this year. But they said there will be a “filler”… the “Origins” sequel. Sort of a post-season1, pre-season2 sequel? Not sure. hehe!
I will update you when I hear anything.
This is waaaay too offtopic now.
Hey SGP!
Yeah… way off-topic na! Hahaha…!
Bummer… 4th quarter of this year pa! Oh well, I guess I’ll just finish up on my “24″ marathon (Seasons 3, 4, 5 & 6).
Plus I’ve got
