Hello my fellow bloggies! FYI, I came out on this month’s issue of StarStudio which features a one and a half page interview about me, my family and my recording studio.
StarStudio Publications introduction to their May 2007 issue:
Aga Muhlach is definitely looking better than ever in StarStudio’s May issue. The eternal heartthrob tells SSM how he lost more than 50 lbs and shed 7 inches off his waistline.
Summer gets even hotter with the sexy bodies on the beach, John Lloyd Cruz, Sam Milby, Zanjoe Marudo, Jake Cuenca, Rafael Rosell, and Victor Basa, otherwise known as Star Magic’s Coverboys. SSM trekked all the way to Subic to shoot these six sexy men and the photos we got don’t disappoint.
Take a tour of Rica Peralejo’s one-of-a-kind home and see how the eclectic décor suits her personality. Danica Sotto and Marc Pingris share their wedding photos and we party with Judy Ann Santos’s Mommy Carol for her 60th birthday.
SSM revisits Hindi Nahahati Ang Langit (the inspiration for Walang Kapalit), the life of Joey Gosiengfiao, and stars like Tetchie Agabayani, Carmi Martin, Chuckie Dreyfus, and Robin Da Roza.
So get your fill of the hottest stars and hottest issues only in StarStudio magazine.
Earlier today my little girl, Isabella, pulled out her mp3 player and started singing along to one of her favorite tracks… Michael V’s “Hindi Ako Bakla”.
I decided to capture it on video since my wife and I never really had the chance to use our DV Cam too often.
I inserted a small window on the lower right portion of the video just to show you guys what song she is exactly singing along to.
Enjoy the vid!
I was able to watch some NBA playoff action earlier today and I’m quite surprised (and disappointed) to see Miami fall into a 0-3 hole against Chicago. I mean… it was terrible enough watching the Heat lose 2 straight games in Chicago, but I thought, “Hey, they’ll surely make up for it once they get back home…”. They didn’t!
Well, I guess the defending champs are done with. Regardless if they win games 3 and 4, chances are they won’t advance to the next round given the consistent trend of NBA teams that try to comeback from a 0-3 deficit.
What a bummer!
We’ve seen numerous versions of Spiderman 3 trailers… we’ve seen Venom footages as well… now get to see a recently released preview of how Eddie Brock meets his fate as the Symbiote takes over his body… Really cool footage! Enjoy!
More Spidey action for you guys!
Here’s a short clip of Gwen Stacey being rescued by Spiderman… awesome sequence! Enjoy the video!
Well, as promised… an update on my meeting with Viva earlier today regarding Sarah’s new album.
I met up with Vincent del Rosario and presented 3 songs… we listened to them together in his office and he seemed to enjoy it a lot. I presented songs which I felt was right for Sarah’s image…
He asked if I was interested in producing some of the songs in her album as well. By producing, I mean overseeing and supervising the whole production of each designated song assigned to me… from conception to creation to execution… from musical arrangement… instrument lay-in… to vocal recording… as well as the mixing and mastering process. I accepted since I figured this wasn’t the first time I produced a song for Sarah…
I produced “SCQ Reload’s” theme song entitled, “Kilig Ako”… a song that I composed and produced for the ABS-CBN hit series and Viva Records a few years back which Sarah performed. A teeny bopper-ish beat that fit the television program’s target market.
Listen to “Kilig Ako” (SCQ Reload’s Theme Song):
Vince and I decided that we should forget about all the “birit” material and “birit” singing that made her famous… “She’s proven that countless times already”, I told Vince. “Tama na yun… We don’t need another album like that”. We’ll be making the materials in the new album more friendly to those who want to actually sing along to the songs in it. Heartfelt… refreshing… cool… light… young… easy to recall and definitely very commercial. No “Celine Dion-ish” type songs anymore…! We’re done with that. Fans will be delightfully surprised on the direction Sarah’s new album will be taking.
I believe the songs I submitted will be just right for her. There was even talk about me probably adding more songs to the album but we haven’t delved into that just yet. Depends on the necessity of it, I guess. A whole lot more was discussed during the meeting about the album and a “particular song” but I don’t think I’m at liberty to say until the ball gets rolling… but it’s definitely BIG. I’ll be posting more about the album’s progress in the coming weeks as everything slowly comes together.
Here’s a short clip of Spiderman vs. Sandman from the upcoming “Spiderman 3″ film. Enjoy!
I was doing the final mix of a new radio commercial jingle/composition this afternoon when I got a call on my cell from Viva Records head honcho, Vincent del Rosario.
He informed me that they were preparing Sarah Geronimo’s next album in which the feel of the new album and her image will be totally different than what it used to be on her previous records.
Vincent asked if I wanted to give Sarah one or more compositions that would fit her and the album’s new approach. Luckily, I still have some really good songs here that I haven’t decided to release yet. So, yeah… I guess I’ll be giving some of these songs to her.
I am hopeful, that these compositions will be just as successful as the one I gave Rachelle Ann Go entitled, “Bakit”.
We’ll just have to wait and see, I guess. Right now I’m busy preparing the demo files of the songs which I told Vincent I’d be bringing to Viva for Sarah. He sounded pretty excited and in a hurry to listen to them…
Will update you guys about developments probably by tomorrow evening after my meeting with the Viva bosses.
