Getting ready for the BIG Day!
We will be celebrating our 6th Wedding Anniversary in a few hours… My wife has a surprise for me that she has kept, oh so tightly for the past months. A few days ago I’ve been trying to pry it out of her but she just won’t budge! I really don’t know what’ll happen tomorrow… all I know is that we’ll be gone for 3 days and 2 nights heading off to God knows where. I’m really excited!
If there’s an internet cafe anywhere near the place we’ll be staying, then I’ll update my blog as soon as I can get my hands on a keyboard. If there isn’t any, well… tough luck, I guess.
According to my wife, she wants to at least match my 1st year anniversary surprise to her.
Flashback to our 1st Year Anniversary celebration:
With the help of some friends, I’ve managed to secretly set-up my ninang’s (godmother’s) house in Greenhills Subdivision with floating candles and rose petals on the swimming pool and all over the vast garden… on the center of the area, I placed a large tent cover over a table where our candlelit dinner was going to be. On the table were all her favorite dishes (steak, oysters rockefeller, wine, pastries). I used the best silverware as well. I hired a flutist, guitarist and a violinist to play her favorite love songs all night long during our dinner.
I took her there pretending that I was just dropping off something for my dad before heading to our actual dinner date. She was even kinda antsy wondering why I had to run some errands during our special day.
At the gate, I asked her to come in instead and greet my ninang before leaving so as not to be disrespectful (wink-wink)! So we went in… the whole place was so dark. I pulled her to the garden/swimming pool area pretending that our ninang “might” be there waiting for us.
Then, as soon as we got there… she noticed the musicians which started playing “The Promise”, it was the music used for our wedding march… She then slowly noticed the petals scattered all over the floor, the small candles on the grass and floating on the pool. The candles forming the walkway to the dinner table. Only then did she realize that THAT was our Anniversary Dinner… then I took her by the hand, held her close and danced under the moon and stars with roses and hundreds of little candles surrounding us. She slowly cried… and hugged me. She couldn’t believe I planned everything so intricately for that one special night.
Everything was perfect.
So, going back to tomorrow’s BIG day… I am in the dark as to what my wife has in store… whatever it may be, regardless of how big or small, I’m sure it’ll be great.
As long as it comes from my wife…
As long as she’s with me…
As long as we spend countless anniversaries till we grow old and wrinkly…
As long as we have “sexy time”!
Bwehehehe!
"You Really Got Me"…NOT!
American Idol elimination night once again… and again, another undeserving singer was sent home much to everyone’s surprise.
Oh man! Sanjaya must have a LOT of friends! Rendering a song entitled, “You Really Got Me” did NOT “get” me at all!
Did you notice the little girl who cried all throughout Sanjaya’s performance?! Wow! I thought she was sobbing because of the excruciating pain Mr. Malakar’s voice was causing.
No doubt, his performance this week is by far the best he’s done… but in no way does that make him come close to the likes of Lakisha, Melinda and Blake. Not even close to latest voting casualty, Stephanie Edwards.
Clean your ears, America! Sanjaya’s vocals are not as versatile as his hair-do!
