Guys, as promised I am posting the OFFICIAL THEME of Star Cinema’s, “Agent X44” which is used in the movie and will be used in all succeeding sequels of the franchise (similar to “James Bond” or “Mission Impossible”). This is NOT the “Chickboy” song used in the movie’s promotion. This song actually has lyrics when I first composed it but we opted not to use the lyrics for now. We haven’t even decided during that time who we wanted to have the song rendered by. I was planning on having the song performed by “Candles” (the band I am currently managing and has an album under Viva Records). Maybe in the sequel (that depends on how successful this first movie will turn out to be).
Anyhow, I’m posting the instrumental version for all of you to enjoy. Should you wish to listen to the version with lyrics, just leave a message on the comments section. But I have to warn you, the version with vocals was sung by me… (for demo purposes of course). Hehe!
Without further ado, the Theme of “Agent X44” (Click on Play):
Note:
Leave a message/comment if you want to listen to the “Agent X44” Theme with vocals. Thanks!

Will this make my James Bond stocks on trendio rise? http://www.trendio.com/word.php?language=en&wordid=651
Haha! Hopefully maybe… as long as people keep comparing Agent X44 to James Bond. And if they start making a franchise out of the new flick. Good luck with your “James Bond” stock.
ang ganda ng song
Hi Jaya!
Thank you very much! I’ll post the theme song with vocals in a while. Hope you drop by my blog again very soon!
i finally saw x44 last night, last showing ng extension kagabi. hehe.
u did the track for the fight scenes din?
JUN:
Yep. I did every little bit of music in the film…. so, yes including the music for the fight scenes. Umm… why? What about it?
i thought the soundtrack was cool… i specially liked the variations you put into the main theme. like for instance, when the “kontrabida” was Japanese, the same music had Japanese elements to it, too. and it’s easy for the common movie watcher to identify and get into the mood of the moment. YOU guys must have such a wide music vocabulary, you know very well which suits and which doesn’t.
BOW ako! ahehehe.
JUN:
Thanks man. So, you finally watched. Hehehe… Hope you liked the movie as a whole. Yeah, that was how I intended the treatment of the music to sound like. The feel of the music changes but the actual theme is still “there”. I spent sleepless nights working on the soundtrack since I had only a week and a half to complete the entire musical score. Although I composed the actual theme about 2 months before I worked on the soundtrack.
Too bad the film’s sound was reproduced in “mono” format only. It would have sounded much much better had Star Cinema opted to make it stereo. But then, they’d have to shell out about another extra P300,000.00 to Dolby Laboratories as licensing fee and they probably felt that the film, being a comedy flick, didn’t have enough merit to deserve a stereo soundtrack. Tsk-tsk. Sayang…
Shame. Shame. They have the best resources at their beck and call, and they had to scrimp on a mere 300t. I mean, what is that compared to how much they’ll make out of the movie?
I’ve always believed in Filipino talent and the potential, but then it’s almost always shortchanged by the powers that be.
ganda! sana lang mapakinggan ko yung chickboy!
gus2 ko un eh! pano b i-download yun?
tnx alot you guys
Dude:
Hello there. Thanks for dropping by. Since I’m getting a lot of requests to feature the “Chickboy” novelty song that was part of the “Agent X44″ movie, I guess I’ll have to oblige to some of them. Will do that in a couple of days… (maybe even just hours if I feel up to it).
I like it!
What software do you use for sequencing? Reason?
And what do you use for tracking? ProTools?
Next time you need a guitarist, i’m just a text away!
Or if you have any film scoring gigs that you feel like passing along, nandito lang ako.
Hey Jay!
For sequencing, I use “Sonar”…
Tracking, Adobe Audition. ProTools is so over rated… I still believe Audition is much better than Pro Tools. It just so happened that Pro Tools is already an industry standard.
Sure pare… I’ll keep you in mind. also when I might need a sessionist for record albums if you’re interested!
