Even though Christmas is through…

I know Christmas had long gone but I’d still like to feature the Christmas song I composed which was included in Jam 88.3’s “Not Another Christmas Album 3”. This song entitled, “Merry Christmas, Baby”, was performed by “Candles” (the band I’m managing). I wrote the composition with the intention of it to not sound like a Christmas song at all, which I believe I succeeded in doing. Some friends even said it had shades of a Gin Blossoms song (which I took as a compliment). This track was recorded, mixed and mastered at my recording studio, CD Sound Labs. I had previously posted an article about this album during the holidays and since I’ve realized that the album is not planned to be sold in record bars (the album is being given away to sponsors of the radio station as promotional material), I decided to upload the song and have my blog visitors listen to it.

Call a cab!

My wife is far far away with her officemates for their “Team Building” session which will be an overnight affair… so I guess that leaves me and the kids to party in the house.  We’ll probably order some pizza a little later while watching some DVDs and overworking the PS2.  Just couldn’t shake the image of a Yellow Cab Manhattan Meatlovers Pizza off my mind since this morning.  Just gotta give in to the temptation!  Hahaha.

Everything that is wrong with Metro Manila traffic!

I stumbled upon a really really amusing post written by a co-Filipino blogger that tackles (and enumerates) everything that is wrong with Metro Manila traffic.  If you’re a “pinoy” (slang for Filipino), you’ll probably snicker and laugh while reading most it.  I guess the reason why you’ll find yourself giggling is due to the fact that you cannot help but admit how true the article is.

The "Agent X44" Theme!

Guys, as promised I am posting the OFFICIAL THEME of Star Cinema’s, “Agent X44” which is used in the movie and will be used in all succeeding sequels of the franchise (similar to “James Bond” or “Mission Impossible”).  This is NOT the “Chickboy” song used in the movie’s promotion.  This song actually has lyrics when I first composed it but we opted not to use the lyrics for now.  We haven’t even decided during that time who we wanted to have the song rendered by.  I was planning on having the song performed by “Candles” (the band I am currently managing and has an album under Viva Records).  Maybe in the sequel (that depends on how successful this first movie will turn out to be). 

Anyhow, I’m posting the instrumental version for all of you to enjoy.  Should you wish to listen to the version with lyrics, just leave a message on the comments section.  But I have to warn you, the version with vocals was sung by me… (for demo purposes of course).  Hehe!
